Flower Branch 16 Ostad Gholamhosein Banan
Master vocalist, the late Ghulam Husain Banan is featured in these collection of CDs. The CDs have been re-mastered from the Radio Tehran popular classical music series of 1950s and 1960 called Shakheh Gol (Flower Stem) and Golha yi rangarang (Colorful flowers). Each program was identified as Golha or Shakheh Gol and a number to follow. Iran's greatest classical musicians, composers and songwriters collaborated to make the Golha program. They included the likes of Morteza Mahjubi, Ruh Allah Khaleqi, Hasan Kasayi, Jalil Shahnaz, Javad Ma'rufi, Rahi Moayyeri and many others too numerous to name here. Now the Golha series, especially featuring the vocals by master Banan and orchestration by Ruh Allah Kahleghi are considered true national heritage of Iranian music. Must have!
